What is ortho floss?

Ortho floss, also known as orthodontic floss or dental floss threaders, is a type of floss designed for people with braces or other orthodontic appliances. It consists of a stiff end that threads the floss around the wires to floss each tooth individually.

Why is ortho floss necessary?

Regular floss can't be used effectively with braces because the wire prevents you from flossing between teeth properly. Ortho floss allows you to thread the floss under the wire to clean each tooth surface and remove plaque and food debris.

Can you use regular floss with braces?

While standard floss can sometimes work, flossing with ortho floss is typically much easier to use with braces or other orthodontic appliances.

Can ortho floss be reused?

No, ortho floss should not be reused between flossing sessions. Orthodontic floss is meant for a single use only.
